I did not want a giant boom arm coming from the back of the desk towering over my whole computer set up. I do stream but I also do other work at the same desk with two computers, one off to the side. I can swing it over to the right side and do zoom calls on the work computer or back over to the middle for streaming with my main camera and computer. All adjustments are easy and smooth without loosening any thumb screws including twisting the mic on the mount. Very high quality unit. I mounted this on the front edge of my desk and can pull it up to my face even if I am slouching in my chair a bit farther away from my screen. Only thing is, it can block access to the keyboard a little but I can get my hands under it to type so I can usually find a comfortable position to use the mouse and keyboard.

I opted for a bit more with this boom arm compared to the $20 units, and I am pleased at the quality of design and components of this ULANZI LS24 Mic Arm. My grandson uses this for his HyperX QuadCast microphone for zoom classes, and he needed a sturdy, cable-clean product that would not fail him even after an over-enthusiastic tug on the microphone. Desktop space is conserved when the arm is mounted to the desk behind the computer monitor. The kit includes a GoPro adapter and a 1/4", 3/8'" and 5/8" adapter to hold the microphone or a small camera ( he uses a T-6 Canon on it for desktop shots of small components and circuits). A channel runs along the 3 pivoting, lockable, components of the arm allowing a mic cable to be securely cloistered and clipped inside the arm and out of the way. While this mic arm might not be suitable for a production environment where multiple people with no equipment investment utilize it daily (table clamps are generally not sturdy enough), this mic arm will provide the gamer, the home-office worker, Tik-Tok freaks and zoom call habitues with a safe, sturdy, convenient and relatively inexpensive manner in which to deploy a microphone or small camera without cluttering a desktop.

Se siente muy resistente, material rígido, firme y bien fabricado, es muy fácil de instalar, viene con 3 adaptadores para distintas cuerdas de micrófono o cámara que le dan mayor versatilidad. Funciona excelente para tener micrófono a nivel de mesa en lugar de usar brazo articulado. Resolvió mi necesidad de micrófono en poco espacio, a buen costo, flexibilidad y dureza!

As you can see the arm doesnt have height adjustments and frame feels solid.

It’s sturdy and keep my table neat

I was looking for a relatively inexpensive (got it for around $40 CAD) mic arm that I wouldn't have to replace in a year's time, and this one gives me confidence that it will last well beyond that. By the nature of its design it will not lose its ability to hold its position over time as it does not have any adjustment in the vertical direction; something that for my application is just fine, but take that into consideration. the lower segment of the arm has only 5cm of clearance from the top of the desk and the upper segment about 7cm, so mice or keyboards can't really be used directly under it, you need to be able to position it around them. The length specifications are accurate, so be sure to use a tape measure to verify that it'll work for you. I am impressed by the design, all parts besides the clamp knobs are aluminum and have a nice black finish, and rubber pads are on the clamping surfaces. It has a feel of quality that I wasn't really expecting. It feels very solid, the only tiny bit of "play" in the whole assembly is where the arm drops into the clamp base, and that disappears if you tighten the bolt there to hold it in place.
