I use these all around the house and they are very clear. I use the program blue iris as the nvr and they pair up and discover with out issue. Great camera and easy to install.

Works great as a camera. Can run fully isolated from the internet. I have 2 hooked up to my homeassistant server now. The onvif support breaks a lot though, I cannot get it to reliably report motion through onvif (the motion detection device basically just disappears after a few days). SMTP (email) motion reporting works well though, so I’m happy with it.

I have two Reolink RLC-822A cameras and I liked them well enough to step down to the 520A just for the person detection feature. All I needed was a camera that could differentiate between people, cars and any motion and send me alerts. But the 520A is a trivial step down from the 822A. The pictures it takes will only go as big as 2560*1920 whereas the 822A will go as large as 3840*2160. However, this is barely an issue. This picture size is noticeable when using the email or FTP feature. The quality of the images is still ok it’s just the size. There isn’t any pet detection either on the 520 but that is trivial to me too. I use old Wi-Fi iPads as monitors. I have two md510LL/a (iPad 4) that is placed on a tray table between the Television and where I am sitting. Of course, I can move them anywhere in an instant. I see when anyone comes in the driveway or walks in front of my house while I am watching TV. I’ve tried everything as a monitor. My TV, my PCs third monitor feature, a dedicated PC, Amazon Firestick, Roku, VLC using RTSP, and I always come back to the iPads. I also have an iPad mini in the kitchen. So, If I am cooking, I can watch the driveway when I am expecting a delivery. I got the iPads from eBay. What is really good about the iPad is that Reolink continues to update the app as of May 13, 2023, where most if not every other app will not have an app to keep updated. Even the IOS won’t update. These iPads only have one purpose, they are Wi-Fi Reolink monitors.

Before this one, I bought a Wyze cam V3 that broke 3 months later. I have another one though, different model, the OG, that works fine… But with both cams, Wyze wants you to pay a monthly fee for features you get from this cam right out of the box. Yes, you will need a separate power source for this cam, and connect it through an Ethernet cable that connects to a router (No wi fi connectivity included in this model)… but it is worth the effort. Video quality is great, I’m very happy with it, many advanced features ready to be used are there. Comparatively, is minimally harder to install than a Wyze cam… but you save yourself disappointment,a and being annoyed by pay-to-unlock features in the long run.

Decided to use this model as inside CCTV camera. Have couple other Reolink outside so I already know the quality of cameras this company makes. Setup was easy, connecting to App was a snap and you can also connect this to on-prem NVR (doesn’t have to be Reolink Brand). Overall very satisfied with the item. Giving it 4 stars because the cable dongle could have been better. Attempting to hide that octopus ends is a challenge especially when they are not needs because camera can be power by POE. If you make POE version of camera why include external adapter plug cables?… but I guess they want to cater to broader installer base where not everyone has POE switches.
