Lenses aren't cheap and this is no exception. The range (24-70) is great and the image quality is incomparable. Works great on an FX30, no problems. However, the focus too touchy for manual work, and the AF|MF switch is in an awkward place that's hard to get to. The two programmable function keys are superfluous, they get in the way and are totally unnecessary--lenses are not where the buttons should be.

If you're a shoot-AF-sometimes/shoot-MF-most-times, maybe this isn't the lens for you; you have more choices for better lenses at lower prices. If you shoot AF most/all of the time and need the zoom range, maybe it is the lens for you.
