I bought this for my Dell XPS 8940. There were several sellers for this product but at the time of my purchase this was the cheapest one. My system came with a very tiny cooler but the mount is specific to Dell so my options were limited. After watching some videos many people recommended getting the upgraded dell cooler and I'm glad I did. This was a perfect fit and it already had thermal paste applied. I just unscrewed the old one and wiped it the processor down with alcohol. Then I popped the green protector thing off the bottom of the new cooler and screwed it down. It actually dropped my temps about 20c which I was extremely surprised about. This was as cheap as a used one so I don't see how you can go wrong here.

Super easy to install in my dell xps 8940 and it already comes with thermal paste installed. cooled my cpu by 30 degrees and its not loud at all. would recommend to anyone that has an xps 8940 as the stock fan is so bad
